Sangeetha Mugunthan

Sangeetha Mugunthan is an Associate Attorney at Somireddy Law Group. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Her core areas of practice are corporate and immigration law. Sangeetha is also a qualified attorney in India and she is registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.

She has previously worked as a Senior Associate in the competition/antitrust practice of two of India’s leading law firms in New Delhi and Mumbai, where she represented corporate clients before the Competition Commission of India and its appellate authority in contentious enforcement cases as well as in merger filings. Before joining Somireddy Law Group, Sangeetha briefly worked with a think-tank in the space of competition and antitrust policy.

Sangeetha holds a master’s degree in law from The University of Chicago Law School, where she was the recipient of the Russell Baker scholarship and the pro bono service initiative award. She completed her undergraduate law degree from Hidayatullah National Law University, India.Apart from law, Sangeetha is a mother of two boys and enjoys volunteering in their elementary school.
