Since 2018, Steve has been serving clients across Frisco and Collin County as Of Counsel, bringing a background that most attorneys simply don’t have. Before he ever stepped into a law firm, he was already doing serious investigative work with the Texas Department of Banking — digging into fraud and money laundering cases inside financial institutions. That kind of early exposure to complex, high-stakes investigation doesn’t just teach you the law; it teaches you how to think.
He took that discipline into the University of Texas School of Law, graduating with honours in 2018. Law school wasn’t just academic for Steve — he competed in mock trial and moot court, earning recognition in the Thad Hutcheson Moot Court Competition and getting his first real taste of the courtroom before he’d even passed the bar.
From there, he joined Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, one of the most respected firms in the country, where he worked on complex litigation for Fortune 500 companies. It’s the kind of environment that sharpens you fast — demanding legal analysis, high-stakes disputes and no room for anything less than your best.
Then came a different kind of challenge. Steve joined the Collin County District Attorney’s Office, where he handled thousands of felony and misdemeanour matters — from theft offences through to aggravated robbery. Working as a prosecutor gave him something invaluable: a clear understanding of exactly how the State builds, prepares and presents its cases. That inside perspective now works directly in his clients’ favour.
Today, Steve combines all of that — corporate litigation, government investigations, criminal prosecution — into representation that is strategic, thorough and built for serious matters.
