Sunila Bali, Esquire
Sunila focuses her practice on Litigation and Employment law helping individuals, companies, employees, and employers, alike. In addition, she assists the Firm’s Family Law practice helping clients with pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements, mediation, and New Jersey court proceedings.
Prior to joining SLG, Sunila worked as an associate attorney with a boutique immigration law firm, as an in-house counsel for an IT company, focusing on corporate immigration including immigrant and non-immigrant visas, Employment law, Labor Law, and litigation matters, and as a pro bono attorney for a variety of nonprofits helping victims of crime and domestic abuse.
Sunila is passionate about the Women’s rights and is a frequently invited speaker on Women’s issues and conducts workshops with local non-profits educating women on their legal rights and remedies. Sunila is fluent in four languages besides English: Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Bangla. Her language proficiency makes her uniquely suited to aggressively represent the interests of non-English speaking clients and effectively relay the clients’ stories.
Sunila holds a law degree from University of Iowa, School of Law. She graduated with High Service Honors for public service distinction, and received the Dean’s award for Academic Excellence. While in law school, she was a member of the Transnational Law & Contemporary Problems Journal, participated in the moot court competitions, and interned at the Legal Clinic for three semesters where she was trained in a variety of legal

Prior to her career as a lawyer, Sunila was a successful freelance journalist, and a High School English teacher in India. A national level ping-pong player, Sunila frequently participates in her favorite sport competitions. Sunila is a trained singer and is a founding member of a music band. In her spare time, she likes to organize and perform in music shows, and fundraisers for local non-profits that she supports.
